Why do police uniforms have copper buttons?

The buttons on police uniforms in various countries are mostly made of copper. Our People’s Police uniform also resumed the use of copper buttons from May 1, 1984. Police uniforms affix copper buttons from 1658. That year, the Dutch government established a group of eight local security organizations in the capital Amsterdam; in 1693 the United States also established similar organizations in Washington and some big cities. This is the oldest police in the world.

With the establishment of police organizations in various countries, fashion designers ingeniously designed police uniforms to be black and nailed copper buttons, resulting in a strong contrast of color. This scientific design allows the police to be both mighty and dignified while maintaining social order, and it is easy to distinguish between other industries. Later, this practice was gradually accepted by various governments.
